Job Summary Primarily responsible for successful inspection task completion on all projects within the assigned service centers. Local support for the Operations group in monitoring projects to minimize change orders not sold & coating failures through report reviews. Manage and deliver training for inspectors. Ensure inspections are performed on assigned service centers projects. Leads a group of inspectors within the assigned territory to monitor and improve KPIs. Duties Communication with QA/QC Director, Operations Director, Production Managers and Inspectors Conduct planning meetings with Inspectors Provide safety leadership to implement safety procedures for risk and compliance Team player & team leadership Effective remote management of team who are frequently traveling Problem solving & decision making Analysis, reporting, timeliness, and accuracy Effective verbal & written communication Customer focus & relationship building Champion for Change Manage one's own schedule & prioritize of team's activities Influencing internal & external customers Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel & Windows Technical industry & professional expertise Able to pass a respiratory medical evaluation for wearing respirator Trained in fall protection, confined space & rigging Welding or welding inspection background is a plus Participating in assigned service center calls Enter data on computer & Oracle from for scheduling & inspections Share the workload of inspections/evaluations with group Inspect & evaluate tanks for our asset management program Support staff in complex customer-sensitive issues Requirements High school diploma A minimum of 5 years in related construction experience Knowledge of industrial coatings, application & surface preparation NACE Level 3 Certification Job will be performed often in the field. Travel up to 90% of the time. Able to climb structures of heights up to or beyond 200' while carrying up to 50 lbs. of equipment.
