Mag Particle NDT Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a Level II Certified NDT Nondestructive Testing Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting tests to evaluate the integrity of materials and components without causing damage. Your expertise will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our operations. Performs evaluations on parts produced using TPW techniques to determine surface imperfections, cracks, laps, and other defects that affect part quality. Inspects machined parts for defects associated with grinding and machining, such as heat stress cracking and tearing. Take measurement specifications in fractions and decimals. Verify calibrations, tests and evaluations on parts produced. Sets up and calibrates NDT equipment, reads and interprets indications and evaluates them to established codes and specifications. Record and maintain testing and inspection information on the required inspection sheets. Performs specific calibrations, tests and evaluations on parts produced. Ensure that all specs and procedures are adhered to Ensure that equipment used for inspection is in good working condition and calibrated Train, direct, and oversee Mag Inspectors and Helpers on job related duties Follow and adhere to all Quality System and HS&E requirements

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities necessary to meet the minimum job requirements of this position. Education -
Required:
High school Diploma and suitable - verifiable work experience indicating the employee can meet the convictions of this job description. Current ASNT Level II certification Must be capable and responsible for establishing techniques, interpreting codes, and designating the test method and technique to be used, and capable of training and examining NDT Level I and II personnel for certification. Must have a practical background in the technology and be familiar with other commonly used methods of NDT.
