Job Description
We are looking for an Automotive Electronics Engineer to help design, develop, and expand our line of automotive accessories. Our products integrate directly with OEM vehicle electrical systems. You will work hands-on with automotive electronics, embedded firmware, and vehicle communication networks, contributing to new product development, vehicle platform expansion, and system reliability. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys reverse-engineering vehicle behavior, building robust embedded solutions, and testing on real vehicles. This is an on-site, hands-on engineering role — you'll be working directly on vehicles for testing and validation, not just at a desk.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop automotive electronic modules Develop and maintain embedded firmware (C/C++) for microcontrollers Interface with vehicle systems including CAN bus, BCMs, and OBD-II Reverse-engineer vehicle wiring and electrical architecture to identify safe integration points for new products Implement reliable control of OEM systems using timing, PWM, and vehicle messaging Support new vehicle platform integrations and feature expansion Assist with hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation testing, using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and diagnostic tools Ensure designs meet automotive electrical and environmental requirements Collaborate with hardware, testing, and production teams Document wiring integration procedures for internal reference
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience) 3+ years of experience in automotive electronics or embedded systems Strong experience with embedded C/C++ Hands-on experience with CAN bus and automotive communication protocols Understanding of vehicle electrical systems (12V systems, noise, grounding, protection) Experience working with microcontrollers (STM32, NXP, Microchip, etc.) Comfortable working directly on vehicles for testing and validation Preferred /
Nice-to-Have Skills:
OBD-II protocol knowledge PCB design or hardware review experience Automotive standards exposure (ISO 11898, ISO 26262 — not required but a plus) Experience with aftermarket automotive products, 12V mobile electronics, or vehicle upfitting MECP certification Passion for automotive tech or performance accessories
