Type:

full-time We are Nori Robotics (YC S26) and we build affordable humanoids whose intelligence scales with our fleet. We are looking for engineers excited about robotics and willing to take initiative and ownership at an early-stage startup. Scope . You are a software engineer that stays close to the hardware. New robots come up under your hands first, and you will manage provisioning and over the air updates as our fleet scales. You will stay in tight sync with our New York office and develop on-board systems together. What you'll work on Bring-up and calibration of new robots.

Fleet provisioning and over-the-air updates:

release channels and tooling that keeps remote units from drifting. Hardware verification of features built in NYC, with clear reproductions fed back.

Developer kit:

turning a one-off build into a repeatable, documented, compliant process. Requirements Python and C++ on embedded Linux; automates anything done twice. Understanding of robot peripherals (cameras, IMUs, kinematics), robot calibration, robot middleware.

Nice to have:

Device provisioning, imaging, and OTA experience; configuration management for fleets of devices. Comfort with schematics, scopes, and actuators. Strong written communication across offices. Skills and tools

Languages:

Python, C++, Bash.

Robotics:

ROS 2, camera/IMU/hand-eye calibration tools, URDF and kinematic calibration.

Platform and fleet:

Linux imaging and provisioning, systemd, Docker, OTA tooling.

Hardware:

serial/CAN/EtherCAT debugging, multimeter and oscilloscope, flashing firmware and EEPROMs, Jetson/ARM boards.

Tooling:

git, GitHub Actions, structured runbooks and documentation.

Nice to have:

mechanical or electrical engineering background (CAD, PCB bring-up, wiring, actuator sizing); Isaac Lab / Isaac Sim or Gazebo; firmware (bootloaders, secure boot); compliance or manufacturing bring-up experience. This role is in-person out of our San Francisco office. We encourage you to apply if this role interests you and suits your technical background, regardless of years of experience. We are also open to part-time arrangements for exceptional candidates currently in a degree program. Compensation . Base compensation is $105-150k. Equity is discussed separately as part of the offer.
