The Robotics Technician helps keep robotic equipment running safely and efficiently. This role is responsible for setting up, maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving robotic systems used in production. You will work closely with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to reduce downtime, improve quality, and support daily operations.
Principal Tasks:
1Troubleshoot and repair robotic, welding, and production equipment issues. Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on robots and related equipment. Set up and adjust tooling, fixtures, grippers, and robotic programs as needed. Support new equipment installations and process improvements. Diagnose and resolve problems with robotic cells, sensors, and communication systems. Monitor robot performance and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and productivity. Keep accurate maintenance and repair records. Communicate equipment issues and updates with team members and supervisors. Follow all safety procedures and company policies. Perform other duties as needed to support production
Work Experience and Job Requirements:
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, robotic, and welding equipment. Experience programming and operating plasma cutting robots. Knowledge of MIG (GMAW) welding robots. Basic understanding of ladder logic and robotic sensors. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of electrical systems and robot safety practices. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Willingness to learn new technologies and attend training when needed. Ability to travel occasionally for training or project support. Preferred Experience Experience with Motoman or Yaskawa robots. Experience working with robotic automation in a manufacturing environment.
