Position Overview :

The Robotic Welding Technician is responsible for programming, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining robotic welding systems used in the fabrication of structural steel products. This position combines technical knowledge of robotic automation with practical welding expertise to ensure consistent production of high-quality fabricated components. The Robotic Welding Technician monitors weld quality, adjusts robot programming and tooling as necessary, performs routine equipment maintenance, and works closely with engineering and production personnel to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Operates and programs robotic weld cells. Welds, sets up and teaches robots. Write programs on machine software for shop drawings that do not have associated electronic files. Troubleshoots and adjusts robots, weld controllers, etc. Makes required modifications to robotic equipment to meet quality standards. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints. Maintains safety standards of equipment. Performs preventative maintenance, scheduled and unscheduled Load and unload steel beams of various sizes and weights using forklifts hoist and overhead cranes onto transfer. Process material utilizing downloaded files or shop drawings. Ensure all materials are properly marked as outlined in company procedures. Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area. Maintain an inventory of required tools. Assist in overall production including paint prep, loading & unloading material, pulling needed material and any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:

High School/GED; Trade school or college a plus. •

Experience:

3 years welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. • Experience operating or programming robotic welding equipment. • Identifies potential manufacturing issues and makes recommendations to improve processes. Demonstrates strong situational awareness, excellent safety practices, and advanced hazard control Ability to read fabrication drawings and welding symbols. Strong understanding of GMAW (MIG) welding processes. Ability to recognize acceptable versus unacceptable weld quality. Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Moderate computer proficiency. Ability to stand/walk and perform physical labor for most of the working shift. Pull, push, squat, stoop, etc. to accomplish tasks. Lift loads of up to 75-100lbs. Must be able to work as part of a team and be able and willing to be cross-trained in other areas. Good computer skills; knowledge of MS Office Suite. Ability to multi-task and be detail oriented. Valid Driver's License with reliable transportation. Must be able to work 5 days most weeks, as well as large amounts of overtime until needs are met. Pay:

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
