~75-90% (project-based) Position Overview The Automation Support Engineer plays a critical role in the installation, startup, and support of fully automated machining systems. These systems integrate CNC machines, industrial robotics, conveyors, vision systems, and material handling equipment. This is a highly hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys being in the field, working directly on equipment, and seeing projects through from installation to customer handoff. Their North American HQ is based in Mason, OH and is known for: Exceptional employee retention (many team members and leaders with 15-20+ years tenure) A strong, team-oriented culture with long-term career growth A modern facility including on-site amenities like a fitness center, café/chef-prepared meals, and complimentary coffee In addition to a strong base salary, the compensation structure includes: Overtime paid at 1.5x over 8 hours in a day Profit sharing bonus Per diem and full travel coverage (rental cars, expenses, etc.) Comprehensive benefits package (multiple healthcare options, 401k + match, PTO, etc.) Key Responsibilities Support installation and startup of automated machining systems at customer sites Perform mechanical and electrical setup, including layout, anchoring, and system integration Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings Assist with wiring, debugging, and system troubleshooting Support robot setup, teaching, and system commissioning Work directly with customers during installation and acceptance phases Provide ongoing troubleshooting and support post-installation Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience) 3+ years of experience in automation, controls, field service, or industrial equipment installation Strong electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting skills Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings Experience with PLCs, robotics (FANUC preferred), or CNC equipment is a plus Willingness and ability to travel extensively (75-90%) Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with customers Why This Role Hands-on work with complex, high-end automated systems Strong earning potential with OT + bonus structure Exposure to full project lifecycle (installation, commissioning, customer handoff) Opportunity to work with a highly tenured, stable team Long-term career growth within a globally recognized company

Pay:
