Job Description

Land Technician Oil & Gas | Natural Gas | Energy Industry Express Employment Professionals is recruiting on behalf of a well-established energy company seeking an experienced Land Technician to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with current Land Technician experience in the oil & gas, natural gas, or energy industry who enjoys title research, land administration, and maintaining accurate land records. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with title research, abstracting, mineral ownership, lease administration, and county land records, along with the ability to support land operations through accurate documentation and research. Responsibilities Maintain and update land ownership, lease, mineral ownership, and right-of-way records Perform title research and assist with abstracting land ownership Review deeds, leases, easements, probate records, title opinions, and other legal documents Research county courthouse records to verify ownership and resolve title issues Coordinate lease payments, invoices, division orders, and land-related documentation Maintain accurate electronic land records, databases, and filing systems Work closely with landowners, attorneys, surveyors, title professionals, and internal departments Support land acquisitions, leasing, due diligence, title curative, and land administration projects Ensure land records remain accurate and compliant with company policies Required Qualifications Current experience as a Land Technician is required Experience in the oil & gas, natural gas, or energy industry Strong knowledge of: Title research Land abstracting Mineral ownership Oil & gas leases Deeds Easements Probate records County land records Land administration Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with land management software (Quorum, Peloton, P2 Merrick, or similar) GIS mapping experience is a plus Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required with relevant industry experience

$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
