INTEGRATED CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST

Description Minimum Qualifications:

Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Aptitude for math and problem solving.

Must be detail and safety oriented.

Entry-level candidates with strong math skills and construction aptitude will be considered and trained.

2+ years of experience grade checking, staking, 3D modeling and surveying using Topcon GPS systems preferred.

2+ years working in heavy civil construction including earthwork, paving, and concrete OR a surveying background preferred.

AutoCAD Civil 3D / Topcon Office or equivalent

Ability to provide and maintain driver's license and acceptable driving record.

High school diploma or GED.

Requires kneeling, climbing, walking, twisting and general labor work. Duties and/or

Responsibilities:

Review and interpret construction plans and specifications to ensure jobs are built correctly.

Interpret survey stakes to determine grades for embankment/excavation.

Collect and utilize information with RTK GPS equipment, i.e., topographic surveys, field layout, staking, and machine control verification.

Build and load site models and office data onto machines and work with operators to perform calibrations.

Troubleshoot situations and solve problems (material quality/quantity, GPS equipment operation/repair, etc.). Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors.

Perform other duties as assigned including general labor and equipment operation.

Work Conditions:

Work is primarily outdoors on active construction sites and may include extended hours during peak construction season.

Occasional travel, but we perform most of our work locally.
