By joining our District 12, PD&P Branch II, Prestonsburg Section as a Transportation Engineer Supervisor in Floyd and Martin County, you'll have the opportunity to supervise employees in maintenance and construction activities.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Oversees the work of transportation maintenance crews and construction inspector crews. Plans, schedules, and supervises the work and activities of engineering crews on major projects under development, review, construction, or maintenance. Organizing and conducting meetings in the planning, construction and maintenance of projects. Develops and maintains project or program documentation. Meets with local property owners and officials to discuss highway road conditions and needs. Ideal candidate will have experience in: Must be licensed professional engineer by the Kentucky State Board of Licensure. Must have two years of engineering experience in addition to that required for licensure as a professional engineer. Time Management Verbal and written communication skills. Public Speaking in small and large settings.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
(AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must possess a valid driver's license prior to employment in this job classification. Must be licensed as a professional engineer by the Kentucky Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors OR must be licensed in another state with the ability to obtain a Professional Engineering license from the Kentucky Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors within the employee's initial six month probationary period. Engineering decisions recommended by individuals without a Kentucky Professional Engineering License must be approved by a KRS Chapter 322 Licensed Professional Engineer until licensure is obtained.
