POSITION SUMMARY
Creates and maintains Quality System documentation and implement improvements using quality tools. Designs, installs and evaluates quality assurance process sampling systems, procedures and statistical techniques. Designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment. Analyzes production and service limitations and standards. Recommends revision of specifications when indicated. Formulates or helps formulate quality assurance policies and procedures. Conducts training on quality assurance concepts and tools. Helps reduce defective products by using data-driven tools. Acts as a liaison between the customer, engineering, and production departments on quality related issues.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Develop, maintain and continuously improve elements of the Quality System including Process Flow Maps, SPC, APQP, PPAP, PQP, FMEA, Quality Control Plans, 8D, PDAC, DOE, and Gage R&R. Identify processes and implement the appropriate techniques that will improve process monitoring, control and reduce variation. Generate and update FMEA forms to identify quality issues and help develop corrective actions. Utilize control plans to solve quality problems, control and improve processes, perform capability studies, and reduce variation and losses. Participate in customer audits to ensure compliance to specifications and supplier manuals as required. Review and administer follow-up/reporting on all Corrective Actions (CAR, RMA return analysis, and complaints) to show trends and highlight areas for improvements. Perform product testing, inspection and audits to customer specifications. Complete and oversee completion of FAIs per specifications when required. Monitor PQR data in database and enter into customer portal as required. Analyze operations and prepare appropriate testing and inspection procedures. Plan and complete internal audits of procedures, product processes, quality system procedures for adequacy and completeness. Other duties or projects as assigned.

Education BS degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical preferred) Experience In leiu of degree, applicant can have 4 years experience of manufacturing experience with 4 years in Quality Assurance or ASQ Certifiication Have strong computers skills, working knowledge of MS Office applications and advanced knowledge of MS Excel Experience working with ISO Standards and Lean Principals.
