Full-Time | Onsite Kelly Services is hiring a Manufacturing Quality Specialist for a growing automotive manufacturing operation in Fenton, MI. If you enjoy figuring out why something went wrong, solving problems, working with production teams, and improving manufacturing processes, this could be a great opportunity. This is not just a paperwork or inspection role. You will be hands-on with manufacturing operations, investigating quality issues, analyzing data, performing root cause analysis, and working directly with Engineering and Production to implement solutions. What You'll Do Investigate manufacturing quality issues, scrap, rework, warranty claims, and customer concerns Identify root causes and help develop effective corrective actions Analyze quality data and manufacturing trends to identify recurring problems Partner with Production and Engineering to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues Support machining, automated assembly, final assembly, and testing operations Use problem-solving tools including 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and Six Sigma Track corrective and preventive actions through resolution Review warranty and customer quality issues and communicate findings internally Support product, process, and quality audits Assist with engineering changes and ensure quality requirements are maintained Update quality procedures, documentation, risk assessments, and lessons learned Participate in continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives Work cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Suppliers, and other teams Use data to help identify opportunities to improve quality, reduce scrap, and prevent repeat issues What We're Looking For 2+ years of manufacturing experience Quality, manufacturing engineering, production, or process improvement experience preferred Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Experience investigating problems and determining root cause Comfortable working with Production and Engineering teams Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills Experience with 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, Six Sigma, or similar problem-solving tools preferred Minitab experience is a plus Knowledge of IATF 16949 or automotive quality standards is helpful Bachelor's degree preferred, but equivalent manufacturing experience will be considered Strong communication skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple issues and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Why This Opportunity?
