This position is responsible for monitoring product quality, analyzing manufacturing data, investigating quality issues, and implementing improvements that ensure products consistently meet customer specifications and internal quality standards. The QC Engineer works closely with Production, Process Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and the Quality Assurance team to improve manufacturing processes, reduce variation, and support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility. Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin (speaking, reading, and writing) is required to effectively communicate with global leadership, engineering teams, suppliers, and equipment manufacturers. Essential Responsibilities Monitor product quality throughout incoming inspection, in-process manufacturing, and final product inspection. Analyze production and laboratory data to identify trends, process variation, and opportunities to improve product quality. Investigate product nonconformances, customer complaints, and manufacturing quality issues using structured root cause analysis methodologies. Develop, implement, and verify corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to eliminate recurring quality issues. Collaborate with Production, Process Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to improve manufacturing processes and product consistency. Develop and maintain inspection procedures, quality standards, control plans, and testing methods. Perform statistical analysis using Statistical Process Control (SPC) and process capability studies to monitor manufacturing performance. Support new equipment qualification, process validation, product trials, and manufacturing startup activities. Participate in internal quality audits, customer audits, supplier audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. Review inspection results and laboratory data to ensure compliance with customer specifications and internal quality requirements. Prepare technical reports, quality documentation, and performance metrics for management review. Support supplier quality improvement activities by evaluating incoming material quality and assisting with supplier corrective actions. Train production personnel on quality procedures, inspection methods, and quality awareness. Ensure compliance with company quality procedures, safety requirements, and applicable industry standards. Perform other duties as assigned. QualificationsRequired Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field. Bilingual in English and Mandarin (speaking, reading, and writing). Three or more years of Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or Manufacturing Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of quality engineering principles and manufacturing quality systems. Experience with root cause analysis tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and corrective and preventive action (CAPA). Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC), process capability analysis, and quality data analysis. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting. Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Experience in battery manufacturing, lithium-ion materials, plastics, film manufacturing, chemical processing, semiconductor, or other advanced manufacturing industries. Knowledge of
ISO 9001
quality management systems and quality auditing practices. Experience using laboratory testing equipment and precision measuring instruments. Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience or certification. Experience with Minitab or other statistical analysis software. Experience supporting supplier quality management and customer quality requirements. Physical Requirements Ability to work in both laboratory and manufacturing environments. Ability to stand and walk throughout the production facility for extended periods. Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) while working in laboratory and production areas.
