Job Description

Job Overview MMG Engineered Extrusions is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Aluminum Extrusions Quality Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in strengthening our quality systems, elevating process capability, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across our extrusion and fabrication operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex manufacturing challenges and aims to make a measurable impact on throughput, scrap reduction, and customer satisfaction. As a key member of Momentum Manufacturing Group, a leading manufacturing partner to OEMs, you will contribute to maintaining high standards of quality and operational excellence in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance procedures and systems to ensure product compliance with customer specifications and industry standards. Analyze manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in quality, efficiency, and cost reduction. Support process capability studies and utilize data-driven approaches to enhance extrusion and fabrication operations. Conduct root cause analysis on quality issues, implement corrective actions, and verify their effectiveness. Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot quality problems and develop solutions that improve throughput and reduce scrap. Lead or participate in internal audits, supplier quality assessments, and continuous improvement projects. Monitor key quality metrics, prepare reports, and communicate findings to management for strategic decision-making. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the manufacturing environment. Skills Proven experience as a Quality Engineer within manufacturing or extrusion environments preferred. Strong understanding of quality systems such as ISO 9001 or similar standards. Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and techniques for process control and improvement. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex manufacturing challenges. Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments and presenting technical information clearly. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. Knowledge of aluminum extrusion processes, fabrication techniques, and relevant industry standards is highly desirable.
Pay:
$75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
