Plainview, NY Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. This role will provide quality engineering support across product development, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers to ensure products meet internal, customer, industry, and regulatory quality standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment. Experience in aerospace or another regulated industry is preferred but not required for entry-level candidates . Key Responsibilities Develop test procedures, inspection plans, and quality control plans to ensure product requirements and functions are clearly defined and met. Ensure products comply with organizational, customer, industry, and regulatory quality standards, including AS9100 and AS9102 . Support product development and manufacturing teams during inspection, testing, and quality control activities. Conduct quality audits and inspections to identify defects, non-conformances, and process deviations. Investigate quality issues and support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities. Analyze quality data and trends to identify opportunities to reduce defects and improve product reliability. Coordinate and support First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 requirements. Assist with supplier quality activities, including inspection plans, supplier first-article reviews, and supplier audits. Collaborate with Design Engineering and other cross-functional teams on new product development and quality planning. Support internal, customer, and third-party audits and help maintain compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS). Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within quality and manufacturing processes. Provide quality-related training, guidance, and support to production teams. Perform other quality engineering and manufacturing support duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience or training in quality assurance within aerospace or another regulated manufacturing environment is preferred. Entry-level candidates with the appropriate educational background are encouraged to apply. Required Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a cross-functional team. Knowledge of, or ability to learn, manufacturing processes and Quality Management Systems (QMS). Ability to learn and apply root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with Engineering, Production, Project Management, Suppliers, and Customers. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Skills & Experience Experience with root cause and corrective action investigations. Knowledge of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) per AS9102 . Familiarity with Material Review Board (MRB) processes. Experience with

AS9100, ISO

9001, FAA, or NADCAP requirements. Quality certifications such as CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or CQA (Certified Quality Auditor) . Experience with quality inspection software such as Net-Inspect, InspectionXpert , or similar systems. Physical Requirements & Work Environment This is a fully on-site position in a manufacturing environment. Position requires a combination of walking throughout the manufacturing floor and prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.

Pay Details:
