Water Balance Engineer Co-Op/Intern - Spring 2027 Where will you work: New Wales Manufacturing Facility at 3095 Highway 640 Mulberry, FL 33860 with travel to other FL locations. Housing and relocation can be provided for qualified candidates. A Water Balance Engineer Co-Op/Intern will support day-to-day engineering activities by assisting with basic design updates, compiling data for hydrologic and hydraulic evaluations, and organizing project documentation. Term January 11 to April 23, 2027 Full time Co-Op/Internship. Typically, 36-40 hours a week. In person. 9/80 schedule if applicable. What you'll do: Help support basic design work for water and wastewater systems by updating drawings, layouts, and simple calculations with guidance from the team. Assist with data collection and modeling tasks, like gathering site info (maps, elevations, drainage areas) and helping run or review results from modeling tools. Support the team with permit and documentation tasks, organizing files and helping track requirements for projects. Get hands-on experience in the field by joining site visits, taking notes/photos, and helping track project progress. Communicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers (of various disciplines), tradespersons, and contractors. Participation in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignment. Adhering to Mosaic's mission, guiding principles and priorities, and key competencies. What you'll need: Junior level or above by January 2027 pursuing a bachelor's in Chemical or Environmental Engineering. 2.75 GPA or higher Ability to function in an industrial chemical and mining environment. 1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is preferred. Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred. Reliable transportation and valid driver's license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office. Ability to work full time and be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship Selected candidates will be required to successfully complete post-offer/pre-placement drug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, functional capacity examination. Basic computer skills are required Experience working in a team environment is a must Familiarity with an industrial environment is highly desirable Effective verbal communication skills is a plus Physical work environment is occasionally outdoors with exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environments The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the functions of this job.
