Apply Overview Position Type Full-time Job Shift 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday Apply Description Senior Staff Accountant Sun Life Health is seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys digging into the numbers, solving problems, and playing an important role in the financial operations of a growing healthcare organization. What You'll Do Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close Prepare journal entries, accruals, allocations, and reconciliations Analyze financial activity, variances, and unusual transactions Assist with financial reporting, budgets, audits, and regulatory reporting Support grants and restricted fund accounting Help improve accounting processes, systems, and internal controls Develop Excel-based schedules and financial analyses Provide support and guidance to other Finance team members What We're Looking For Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required; Bachelor's preferred 3-5 years of accounting experience Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Advanced Excel skills preferred Healthcare or FQHC finance experience preferred NetSuite experience strongly preferred Why Sun Life Health?
