We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join a growing team in El Granada, California. This role will oversee core accounting operations, contribute to accurate and timely financial reporting, and support key compliance activities. The ideal candidate brings strong general ledger expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a hands-on environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead critical month-end accounting activities, including billing review, revenue treatment, prepaid expense tracking, and accrual preparation to ensure accurate financial results.
• Perform detailed reconciliations for balance sheet and profit-and-loss accounts, resolving discrepancies and maintaining reliable supporting documentation.
• Administer payroll for an employee population of approximately 30 staff members and post related accounting entries to the general ledger.
• Work closely with Human Resources to coordinate accounting matters tied to employee benefits, compensation, and related expenses.
• Manage day-to-day accounting processes across the full cycle, from transaction recording through period-end reporting.
• Provide support during the annual external audit and assist with preparing schedules and documentation for corporate tax reporting.
• Contribute to ad hoc accounting assignments and special projects as business needs evolve.
• Maintain accurate journal entries and support bank reconciliation activities to strengthen financial controls and reporting accuracy.
