$50,000-$80,000/year Sunny Unite Inc. is looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on Bilingual Staff Accountant to support our day-to-day accounting operations in Los Angeles. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working directly with financial records, invoices, receipts, payments, reconciliations, and supporting documentation. You will also work closely with internal teams, vendors, contractors, and other business partners to verify financial information, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate accounting records. This is primarily a hands-on accounting operations role rather than an FP&A, financial analysis, investment analysis, or corporate strategy position. Professional working proficiency in both English and Mandarin Chinese is required . What You'll Do Record and maintain daily cash, check, credit card, bank, accounts payable, and accounts receivable transactions. Perform routine bank, credit card, and account reconciliations. Review invoices, receipts, reimbursements, payments, and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness. Process approved payments, deposits, checks, and routine banking transactions. Track outstanding payments and receivables and follow up when needed. Communicate with vendors, contractors, clients, and internal teams to verify charges, payments, and other financial information. Organize and maintain accurate accounting and project-related financial documentation. Support month-end and year-end closing, account reconciliation, and annual audit preparation. Identify unusual transactions, missing documentation, duplicate charges, accounting errors, or other discrepancies. Follow established accounting procedures and internal financial controls. Support other accounting and administrative responsibilities assigned by the Finance Manager. What We're Looking For 2+ years of hands-on accounting, bookkeeping, or accounting operations experience in a U.S. business environment. Experience with day-to-day accounting activities such as transaction recording, invoice processing, payments, account reconciliation, AP, or AR. Professional working proficiency in both English and Mandarin Chinese . Ability to independently review English-language invoices, receipts, bank records, financial documents, and business correspondence. Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Comfortable handling recurring accounting tasks and detailed financial documentation. Comfortable communicating with colleagues, vendors, contractors, and other business partners regarding financial matters. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is strongly preferred. Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, or other U.S. accounting software. Experience with AP, AR, bank reconciliation, expense reimbursement, and month-end closing. Experience in commercial construction, retail construction, facilities maintenance, project-based businesses, or a related industry is a plus. Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical accounting experience.
