Description Our client in Oakland is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a contract opportunity. This role will support core accounting operations, month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and general ledger activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Based on general knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Manage month-end and year-end close processes

+ Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity

+ Analyze financial data and support preparation of internal financial reports

+ Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis

+ Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls

+ Support audits by preparing schedules and documentation

+ Partner with finance and operational teams to resolve accounting issues

+ Help improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency

+ Based on general knowledge. Requirements

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field + 5+ years of progressive accounting experience

+ Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting

+ Experience with month-end close and account reconciliation processes

+ Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel

+ Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

+ CPA or CPA-track preferred
