Staff Accountant Pay:

Temporary 5-6 months and fully onsite We're seeking a Staff Accountant for a 5-6 month temporary opportunity. This position will focus on accounts receivable, cash applications, account reconciliations, and general accounting support. This is a good fit for someone who has strong Excel skills, enjoys working with detailed financial information, and can independently research and resolve discrepancies.

What You'll Do:

Manage accounts receivable activity, including daily cash applications Reconcile and analyze assigned balance sheet accounts Prepare detailed account and payment reconciliations Research and resolve account discrepancies Prepare and post journal entries Review outstanding balances and assist with reserve calculations Work with internal teams and external contacts to resolve accounting issues Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation Assist with accounting reports and other projects as needed

What We're Looking For:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 3+ years of accounting experience, including accounts receivable Strong experience with account reconciliations and cash applications Experience preparing journal entries Advanced Excel skills, including XLOOKUP and formulas Experience working with an large ERP or accounting system Ability to analyze financial data and resolve discrepancies Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Medicaid or healthcare accounting experience is a plus, but not required This is a hands-on accounting role suited for someone with a strong accounts receivable background who can manage reconciliations, analyze account activity, and contribute with minimal supervision.
