Overview Join our vacation rental & property mgmt. company here at the beach! In business for 53 years, we serve over 100 vacation owners, and another 100 limited service accounts. You'll be in a key position to help our team of 40+employees care for our clients. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant to join our property management team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records, filing sales and payroll taxes, and supporting the organization's financial health. Your expertise in various accounting systems and software will help streamline processes, improve data accuracy, and provide valuable insights into financial performance. Duties Prepare, review, and analyze journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes using financial software such as QuickBooks along with our property mgmt systems. Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and oversee cash flow management to support operational needs. Assist with financial reporting in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory standards. Process company payrolls, quarterly taxes, etc Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on accounting issues, including revenue recognition and expense allocations. Utilize Excel data analysis skills to generate reports, identify discrepancies, and improve accounting processes. Handle accounts payable and quarterly review of any few A/R reminders. Requirements Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a strong understanding of corporate accounting standards. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and banking systems; experience with financial software like OnePoint payroll is a plus. Strong numeracy skills with the ability to perform complex math calculations accurately. Excellent data entry skills coupled with attention to detail for account reconciliation and account analysis tasks. Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while maintaining high ethical standards. Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments and support customer service and management's initiatives. $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
