Job Description

Pacific Staffing is partnering with our banking client to identify a Senior Accountant to oversee key accounting and financial reporting functions within a regulated, audit-ready environment. This role leads the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensures the accuracy of the general ledger, prepares financial statements, and supports regulatory reporting. The Senior Accountant will manage fixed assets, investments, reconciliations, and internal controls while partnering with leadership to strengthen financial processes, compliance, and operational efficiency across the organization. $90,000-$105,000/year (DOE)
Responsibilities:
Oversee general ledger accuracy, prepare and review journal entries, and lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.

Prepare reconciliations, supporting schedules, financial statements, and variance analysis; investigate discrepancies and recommend corrections.

Ensure audit standardsMaintain fixed asset and prepaid schedules, depreciation/amortization, and investment portfolio accounting.

Research accounting guidance for non-routine transactions and maintain audit-ready documentation.

Assist with budgeting, property tax payments, and executive/director compensation accounting.

Identify opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, automation, and reporting quality.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.5+ years of accounting experience; banking or senior accountant experience strongly preferred.

Experience preparing GAAP financial statements, regulatory filings, and supporting audits.

Proficiency with general ledger and financial reporting systems; advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, Lookups, complex formulas).Knowledge of MS Access, SQL, VBA, or macros a plus.

Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, communication skills, and professionalism.
