Accountant Ready Window Sales and Service Virginia Gardens, FL Job Details Full-time $70,000 - $90,000 a year 12 hours ago Qualifications Mid-level Full Job Description Position Summary We are seeking an Accountant to manage daily accounting activities and support accurate financial reporting for our construction projects. This role works closely with project managers, operations, payroll, and vendors to track project costs, process transactions, and resolve discrepancies. Key Responsibilities Record and reconcile general ledger transactions, bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts. Track labor, materials, subcontractor costs, and other expenses by project and cost code. Review job cost reports and work with project managers to investigate budget variances or missing costs. Prepare customer invoices, progress billings, and supporting documentation as required by each contract. Review vendor invoices, match them to purchase orders and project records, and support timely payment. Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on outstanding balances, and help resolve billing disputes. Assist with month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and financial reports. Coordinate with payroll to verify that labor costs are assigned to the correct projects. Maintain organized records for audits, insurance reviews, and project reporting. Support the Controller with process improvements and other accounting duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. At least 3 years of accounting experience; construction accounting experience preferred. Working knowledge of job costing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting. Proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting software. Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to meet deadlines. Ability to communicate clearly with both accounting and project teams.
