This is a hands-on role requiring strong experience with Yardi Voyager, CommercialCafe, Excel, and commercial property accounting . The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, comfortable taking ownership of their work, and interested in improving processes as the portfolio grows.

Key Responsibilities Bank Reconciliations:

Complete accurate and timely monthly bank reconciliations for assigned properties.

Tenant Billing & Receivables:

Prepare monthly rent, CAM, utility, and other tenant charges. Maintain accurate tenant ledgers and research billing or payment discrepancies.

Yardi Administration:

Set up new properties, units, tenants, and leases in Yardi Voyager. Maintain tenant and lease information and manage CommercialCafe setup and administration.

Financial Reporting:

Prepare monthly and quarterly property-level financial statements and reporting packages for ownership, management, and other stakeholders.

CAM Reconciliations:

Prepare annual CAM and operating expense reconciliations, including tenant calculations, supporting schedules, and billing adjustments.

Utility & Vendor Administration:

Coordinate utility accounts and assist with the administration and tracking of property-level vendor contracts.

Property Taxes & Insurance:

Coordinate property tax payments, insurance renewals, and related accounting and recordkeeping.

Lease & Accounting Review:

Review lease terms as needed to ensure tenant billing and accounting treatment are accurate.

New Property Onboarding:

Assist with accounting setup and transition of newly acquired or managed properties.

Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures, reporting, controls, and efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field. 5+ years of commercial real estate accounting experience. Strong working knowledge of Yardi Voyager and CommercialCafe. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong understanding of double-entry accounting and property-level financial statements. Experience with tenant billing, CAM reconciliations, and lease administration. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with property managers, tenants, vendors, ownership, and other stakeholders. Comfortable working in a small, entrepreneurial team where people take ownership and help solve problems. Strong interest in process improvement and developing best-in-class accounting procedures.

Pay:

$85,000.00 - $98,000.00 per year
