Certified Public Accountant (CPA) | Multi-Entity Real Estate Tax & Reporting

Job Description

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced CPA to own tax compliance, internal financial reporting, and financial oversight across all entities. This is a high-trust, high-ownership position. You will be the person responsible for ensuring every entity—and every partner—is filed accurately and on time, and that leadership has a clear financial picture of each business. You will work closely with ownership and have full visibility into the portfolio. Key Responsibilities Tax Filing & Compliance Prepare and file federal and state partnership returns (Form 1065) and issue partner Schedule K-1s Prepare and file annual Form 1099s for contractors and vendors across all entities Manage multi-state tax filings and compliance (including Idaho and Oregon) Prepare and file tax returns on behalf of the general partners Monitor filing calendars and statutory deadlines so every entity is filed accurately and on time Tax Planning & Research Research and apply available tax credits and incentives across the portfolio Coordinate and oversee cost segregation studies to optimize depreciation on real estate assets Advise ownership on tax planning and entity structuring across the multi-entity portfolio Financial Reporting & Operations Own entity-level internal financial reporting across all businesses Maintain accurate books and records for the entities and their partners Work across our systems stack — Appfolio (property management), Ramp (spend management), and point-of-sale platforms such as Toast Coordinate with external advisors, auditors, and taxing authorities as needed Required Qualifications Active CPA license Working knowledge of real estate accounting Demonstrated expertise in partnership taxation (Form 1065 and Schedule K-1 preparation) Experience preparing and filing 1099s and managing multi-state tax compliance Strong command of Excel (complex formulas, financial modeling, data analysis) Experience producing entity-level internal financial reporting across multiple entities Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of Oregon tax law Experience identifying and applying tax credits and incentives Familiarity with cost segregation studies and real estate depreciation strategies Hands-on experience with Appfolio, Ramp, QuickBooks, or Toast Background supporting privately held or family-office real estate operations
Pay:
$90,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
