Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team! This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial health and integrity of our organization. A staff accountant is responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of a company's reports and statements. They will usually report to the senior accountant or chief financial officer. Your expertise will help maintain accurate financial records, streamline accounting workflows, and support strategic decision-making. Responsibilities Prepare and analyze journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes using financial software such as Canopy. Handle data entry tasks with precision, utilizing Excel data analysis skills for reporting and forecasting purposes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, cost analysis, and financial reporting projects. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information while providing excellent customer service to internal stakeholder. Print, Sort, and attach orders/invoices to appropriate personnel. Finalize processing/post in financial software. Manage all A/R functions from balancing to posting; which can include ACH payments, paper checks, and deduction backups. Manage handheld software which can include customer service. Pulling info from delivery software to financial software. Experience Hands-on experience with financial software such as ADP, Canopy, or similar platforms. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—especially Excel—for data analysis, spreadsheet management, and report generation. Demonstrated ability to handle complex account reconciliation tasks involving debits & credits, journal entries, and double-entry bookkeeping. Excellent numeracy skills combined with attention to detail; ability to perform 10-key typing efficiently is a plus. Strong understanding of accounts payable/receivable management, bookkeeping procedures, and financial concepts such as budget analysis and credit evaluation. $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
