Cost Accountant |Paw Paw, MI Salary Range:
$63,000 - $96,000 depending on experience Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for analyzing costs and driving financial efficiency? If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out. The Opportunity We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Paw Paw that are seeking skilled Cost Accountants. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. By joining our network, you position yourself for opportunities aligned with your career goals. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain standard product costs and bills of material. Analyze manufacturing variances (e.g., material, labor, overhead) and provide insights into their drivers. Prepare detailed cost reports and profitability analysis for various products and departments. Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes related to cost of goods sold. Monitor inventory valuation and reconcile physical inventory counts with system records. Support make-or-buy decisions and capital expenditure justifications with cost data. Identify cost reduction opportunities and recommend process improvements. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills. CMA certification or progress towards it is a plus.
