Job Summary:

The Payroll Accountant will assist in all essential job functions that contribute to the successful financial operation and health of Glacier Restaurant Group . Specifically, this position will assist in maintaining accurate payroll reporting and facilitating efficient and accurate business practices for Glacier Restaurant Group and its affiliates. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary, health benefits, and a 401(k) option.

Job Duties and Requirements:

Accurately and efficiently prepare bi-weekly payroll and payroll records/reports for payroll system processing. Record and monitor employee garnishment/liens/levies. Review submitted payrolls for compliance with federal, state wage, and hour regulations, including but not limited to minor hour work restrictions and break rule compliance. Record payroll entries in the general ledger accounting software. Interact with store managers and corporate office personnel. Keep immediate supervisor informed regarding work progress, potential issues, and suggestions for resolution. Attend various training sessions and review educational materials to remain current on principles, practices, and new developments. Research and maintain current knowledge of all local, state, and federal regulations that pertain to payroll and payroll-related matters. Assist in special projects relating to the preparation of financial statements. More specific job duties and requirements will be discussed with interview candidates.

Required Experience:

Associate's in Accounting and/or equivalent experience with a minimum of 2 years. Strong working knowledge and experience with current accounting practices and products. Familiarity with Ceridian Dayforce, Excel & Outlook is a plus. Must be accurate, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize while communicating in a professional manner. Must have the ability to exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality while representing the company positively and professionally.
