SUMMARY The world's leading producer of fine and ultrafine wire has a new opportunity for a full time, Staff Accountant (Concentrations in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll Backup) to join our dynamic team in Boscawen, New Hampshire.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Working within a small accounting team of seven, reporting to the Controller, supporting a local $160 million manufacturing environment.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Process vendor invoices end-to-end: matching to receiving documents and resolving missing receiving document issues as they arise Set up new vendors and maintain 1099 customer records; prepare year-end 1099 filings Maintain cost tracking spreadsheets for various cost types (ie. freight, electricity) Post payment batches and manage weekly check runs, record ACH payments and utilities paid by credit card, as well as process intercompany affiliate invoices Track payables due dates on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Record customer payments from remittance advice, wires (net of bank fees), and non-customer payments Perform regular check-ins with Sales on customers flagged to the watch list Note past-due accounts while recording payments and work within a team to support collections Conduct full periodic analysis of all customer accounts in preparation for AR meetings Complete credit reference requests Close AR in Infor XA after month-end and issue customer statements Respond to customer and vendor requests regarding account activity

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with monthly bank reconciliations Participate in annual year end physical inventory with the Finance team Serve as vacation backup coverage for ADP payroll processing

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Ability to manage deadlines across daily, weekly, monthly, and year-end cycles
• Attention to detail to ensure consistent quality output
• Skills manipulating data in Excel (pivot tables, lookups) and/or other tools
• Discreet, dependable, and comfortable working in a small, collaborative finance department

REQUIREMENTS

• On-site work, with remote work possible on an exception basis.

Preferred Education and Experience Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience) 2+ years of AP/AR or general accounting experience; manufacturing environment a plus Experience with ERP systems (Infor XA experience preferred) and payroll systems (ADP preferred)
