This position is being created to help guide REDC through critical accounting and bookkeeping functions during a typical payroll, payables, receivables, reconciliation, cash management, and financial reporting cycle. This role works closely with leadership and external partners to support accurate financial records, audit preparation, and ongoing organizational operations. This is a part-time opportunity, and we would be happy to discuss candidates' individual part-time availability. Key Responsibilities Accounting and Financial Operations
  • Perform accounting and bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and account reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate and complete financial records.
  • Assist with the development and monitoring of organizational, program, and grant budgets.
  • Prepare regular financial reports for leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Prepare documentation and schedules for the annual audit and work with external auditors as needed.
  • Support compliance with financial reporting, payroll, grant, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Assist with the administration and renewal of organizational insurance coverage. Loan Portfolio Accounting
  • Support loan accounting, billing, payment processing, and collection activities.
  • Reconcile loan servicing records to the general ledger.
  • Monitor loan payments and prepare reports regarding delinquent or nonperforming loans.
  • Coordinate ACH processing and ensure transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Maintain accurate loan portfolio records and supporting documentation. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • At least five years of accounting or nonprofit finance experience.
  • Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, account reconciliations, and audit preparation.
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred Nonprofit and/or grant management experience. Experience with loan portfolio accounting, revolving loan funds, or fund accounting. Familiarity with federal and state grant requirements. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: Competitive, Depending on Experience and Settled Number of Hours. REDC offers a benefits package to full-time employees. Part-time employees may receive pro-rated benefits, depending on the settled number of hours.
