Type:
full-time International Pharmaceutical company located in New Brunswick is looking for a Tax Accountant. The Tax Accountant will be responsible for property tax, sales and use tax reporting, sales tax license registrations, business license and certificate registrations, tax resale/exemption certificates and assisting with US state and local tax compliance for all US entities in all US jurisdictions. Responsibilities Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Register and renew sales tax permits and licenses for a select group of entities in all jurisdictions
- Responsible for filing, paying, and billing back all property tax filings for all entities in all jurisdictions
- Responsible for maintaining up to date property information for each location
- Responsible for opening and closing property tax accounts as needed to ensure property tax filing compliance based on the currently occupied locations
- Prepare data and provide support for property tax and sales and use tax audits for all entities in all jurisdictions
- Research and resolve tax notices for all entities in all jurisdictions
- Responsible for working with a 3rd party provider to gather, upload and review all sales and use tax data and filings for an assigned group of entities in all state and local jurisdictions
- Responsible for obtaining, distributing, and paying all business licenses and certificates for a select group of entities in all jurisdictions
- Responsible for tracking the status of all business licenses and certificates for a select group of entities ensuring compliance in all locations
- Responsible for obtaining all tax resale/exemption certificates for a select group of qualifying entities
- Complete all other tasks and projects assigned by management Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or related field is required
- One to three years' experience with Sales and Use Tax, Property Tax and Business Licensing is preferred
