full-time We have partnered with our client in their search for a Senior Accountant to support their accounting team during a period of transition and centralization. This is a 3-6 month contract opportunity with good change to convert full time, with a hybrid schedule requiring 3 days per week onsite in the Bronx, NY . Responsibilities Support general accounting activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and fixed assets Own assigned areas of the month-end close process across multiple business units Assist with the ongoing centralization of accounting functions from individual business units into the corporate accounting team Maintain accurate general ledger activity and supporting schedules Prepare documentation and provide support for internal and external audit requests Partner with the Controller and broader accounting team on ad hoc projects and process improvements Skills Required Strong general ledger and month-end close experience Strong account reconciliation and accrual experience Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned areas Comfortable interacting with internal and external auditors ERP experience required Fixed asset and/or manufacturing accounting experience is a plus Education & Work Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 5+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred Senior Accountant Bronx, NY Industrial Machinery Manufacturing $55-65/hr Ref
