Taxpert Tax Service is seeking a full time, ONSITE experienced and highly efficient Tax Accountant to join our busy practice in Dutchess County, NY. Duties include but are not limited to: the preparation and filing of mostly corporate, as well as partnership and individual tax returns, sales tax and payroll filings—Nonprofit, trust and estate experience is a huge plus. Willing to train the right candidate who has knowledge and experience with most of the above tax preparations AND the enthusiasm and patience to learn the rest of the skills necessary to fulfill all of the position's duties.

The ideal candidate:

Will be familiar with, OR willing to learn, tax software programs (Drake a plus) and have prior knowledge of various computer programs (quickbooks and excel a plus); MUST possess excellent time management and analytical skills; is detail oriented and strives for accuracy in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities and tight deadlines. The ideal candidate also consistently delivers high-quality work that exceeds internal and external customer expectations; has strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client management; must be able to work independently, in a small friendly team environment; must be willing to learn new skills, stay abreast of tax law changes and readily adapt to industry changes Additional skills to posses OR learn, is the ability to recommend tax strategies that comply with everchanging tax laws with the goal of suggesting ways to minimize tax burdens while maximizing profit to clients.

Note:

CPA or Enrolled Agent is a plus but not required. This is not a clerk position. A higher level of tax accounting knowledge is a huge plus but, will train.

$60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
