Opportunity to expand your accounting knowledge and take on additional responsibilities over time. ️ What You'll Be Doing Core Accounting Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger activity. Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepaids, fixed asset activity, and other accounting adjustments. Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies. Support revenue, expense, asset, and liability accounting. Financial Close & Reporting Participate in monthly and annual financial close processes. Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements and management reporting. Review financial activity for accuracy and completeness. Help identify trends, unusual activity, and areas requiring additional analysis. Analysis & Decision Support Analyze financial results against budgets, forecasts, and historical performance. Prepare variance information and supporting analysis for management. Gather financial information from different areas of the organization to support business decisions. Banking & Cash Management Assist with daily cash management and banking activities. Support borrowing-base reporting and bank covenant requirements. Help maintain accurate cash and banking records. Tax & Audit Support Assist with state and local tax requirements. Support external financial, tax, and benefit audits. Prepare schedules, documentation, reconciliations, and other requested materials. Process Improvement Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and reduce manual processes. Help strengthen internal controls and financial procedures. Work with other departments to improve the accuracy and timeliness of financial information.
