Tax Position Available We are actively recruiting for a detail-oriented accountant with at least 2+ years of public accounting experience to join our tax department team. The Firm is located in Port Jefferson Station, N.Y. - This position is NOT remote. Intermittent travel to clients in Suffolk County. Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Variety of accounting and tax assignments Prepare partnership, corporate, fiduciary & personal income tax returns Record transactions in ledgers Prepare payroll and sales tax returns Prepare trial balances and financial statements Perform various reconciliations Prepare accruals Calculate depreciation expense Post payroll transactions Various other projects as needed

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting At least 2 years previous public accounting experience CPA or pursuing CPA certification Proficiency in MS Office Suite Knowledge of QuickBooks a plus Knowledge of Ultratax Software a plus Knowledge of Accounting CS software a plus Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritize and manage multiple project Ability to work independently Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong work ethic Attention to detail Time management skills We offers competitive salaries and generous benefits which include: Paid time off/Sick leave Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Life, ADD, and LTD Insurance 401(k)
