The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in bookkeeping, and handling confidential information with integrity. This role requires proficiency in data entry, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office applications, along with strong customer service skills. The Accountant will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial data and supporting our accounting and finance operations. Responsibilities Prepare tax returns for individuals, small businesses, S corporations and Partnrships. Analyze and correct client prepared General Ledger in both Quickbooks and Quickbooks Online recognizing required changes and making the appropriate journal entries Maintain and update financial records through precise data entry and bookkeeping practices Prepare and manage spreadsheets to track financial transactions, budgets, and other relevant data Utilize Microsoft Office tools to generate reports, analyze financial information, and support administrative tasks Handle confidential financial information with discretion and professionalism Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries related to financial records or transactions Assist with accounting processes such as reconciliations, invoicing, and expense tracking Support the accounting team in ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards Requirements Ability to prepare tax returns correctly from the point of receiving client data through knowing what questions to ask the client and to correct completion of tax returns for individuals, small businesses, S corporations and Partnerships. Proven experience in tax and accounting roles, with a strong understanding of taxation and accounting principles Willingness to work extra hours, in excess of 65 hours per week, during tax season and as needed. Proficiency in spreadsheets (e.g., Excel) and Microsoft Office applications Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail Ability to handle confidential information responsibly Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with team members and clients Experience working with spreadsheets, accounting software, or related tools is preferred Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively This position offers an engaging opportunity for candidates looking to apply their tax and accounting expertise within a professional environment.
