Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this pivotal role, you will lead complex accounting functions, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and support strategic decision-making through accurate financial analysis. Responsibilities Manage and oversee general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing processes. Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) to ensure accuracy and compliance. Lead accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, accounts payable automation, and vendor payments using Quick Books On-Line. Handle accounts receivable management, including invoicing, collections, and aging analysis to optimize cash flow. Support payroll management activities and perform payroll reconciliations. Conduct detailed data entry with high accuracy using Excel formulas (including VLOOKUP functions), spreadsheets, and accounting software for financial analysis and reporting. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information while handling large volumes of data entry and analysis efficiently. Prepare and publish timely job P&L's and monthly financial statements Experience with multiple companies with varying lines of business and managing inter-company transactions. Provide information as requires to external CPA firm and outside auditors. Key analysis duties including budgets, budgets to actual and financial projections. Credit card and expense management and reconciliation. Review weekly on-going job P&L vs. estimate with Operations team.
Qualifications:
Proven accounting experience with a minimum of seven years working in corporate or public accounting environments. High degree of proficiency with Quick Books On-Line. Demonstrated ability to perform detailed Excel data analysis using formulas like VLOOKUP and complex spreadsheets for reporting purposes. Familiarity with accounts payable automation tools and invoice processing workflows to enhance efficiency. Excellent analytical skills for account reconciliation, journal entry creation, and financial statement review. Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while maintaining high levels of accuracy in data entry tasks. Experience managing multiple companies and inter-company transactions. $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
