Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant for a well established client! This position is responsible for ensuring that the books and records are maintained in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and in compliance with the organizations policies and procedures. This position is also responsible for maintaining analytical reports supporting month-end balances for all asset, liability and net asset accounts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIEDS

Processes and updates accounts payable as well as tracks paid invoices Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information; Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies; Summarizes financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements; Deposits and reconciles all contributions received by the seminary; Records and analyzes monthly investment activity; Participates in continuous improvement of internal controls and oversight of financial systems; Assists in external financial audit; Assist on special projects as needed.
