Senior Accountant Location:

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong GL accounting foundation who wants to gain broader exposure to corporate reporting, financial statement analysis, SOX, and external audit - without being pigeonholed into a pure SEC reporting role. Fortune 500 company with a portfolio of recognizable consumer brands Excellent hybrid flexibility - only 6 onsite days per month Exposure to a sophisticated public-company accounting environment Direct interaction with KPMG and external audit Opportunity to build broader corporate reporting experience without being limited to SEC reporting Strong mix of GL accounting, financial analysis, reporting, SOX, and ad hoc projects Great next step for someone looking to move beyond traditional GL accounting into a broader corporate accounting environment What You'll Be Doing Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close , including journal entries and GL account reconciliations Perform financial statement and flux/variance analysis , investigating significant changes and trends Support internal reporting that feeds into the company's external reporting process Prepare reporting schedules, analyses, and other materials throughout the monthly and quarterly reporting cycles Support KPMG and external audit requests , including documentation and supporting schedules Assist with SOX controls , testing, and related documentation Partner with Corporate Accounting, Internal Audit, Internal Controls, and other cross-functional teams Take on ad hoc accounting, reporting, and special projects throughout the year What We're Looking For 4+ years of professional accounting experience Strong general ledger accounting foundation Solid understanding of

U.S. GAAP

Experience with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close Journal entry preparation and account reconciliation experience Strong financial statement and flux analysis skills SOX experience Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems Comfortable balancing recurring monthly responsibilities with changing ad hoc projects and reporting needs Preferred CPA SAP experience Public company or SEC reporting exposure External audit experience Experience working within a larger corporate accounting organization
