Accounting Manager / Senior Bookkeeper - Multi-Location Operations Falcon Electronics llc - 3.6 Harlingen, TX Job Details Full-time From $20 an hour 3 days ago Qualifications Preparation of internal financial performance reports Confidential information handling Accounts receivable management Balance sheet Cash flow monitoring Investigative financial records analysis Accurate transaction records management Math Financial records management Attention to detail QuickBooks Data entry Data interpretation Accounting and finance experience Financial performance measurement Profit and loss analysis Full Job Description Job Overview We are looking for an experienced, organized, and highly detail-oriented Accounting Manager / Senior Bookkeeper to oversee the financial records and day-to-day accounting operations for a company with multiple business locations, including locations in different states. This position will be based in Harlingen, Texas, and will centrally manage the financial activity and bookkeeping for all company locations. The ideal candidate must be excellent with numbers, highly experienced with QuickBooks, and capable of maintaining accurate and organized financial records across several operating locations. This is more than a basic bookkeeping or data-entry position. We are looking for someone who understands the numbers, can identify discrepancies, investigate financial issues, prepare meaningful reports, and provide management with a clear understanding of the financial performance of the company and its individual locations. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage bookkeeping and accounting records for multiple company locations.
  • Maintain accurate financial records for each individual location.
  • Manage and maintain QuickBooks / QuickBooks Online.
  • Record and properly categorize income and expenses.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards.
  • Track deposits, payments, transfers, and other financial transactions.
  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • Monitor outstanding invoices, bills, and vendor payments.
  • Review financial activity from each location for discrepancies or unusual transactions.
  • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Prepare monthly Profit & Loss Statements.
  • Prepare financial reports for individual locations and for the company as a whole.
  • Maintain and review General Ledger accounts.
  • Assist with Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Monitor company cash flow and operating expenses.
  • Compare financial performance between company locations.
  • Maintain organized records of invoices, receipts, purchases, bills, and expenses.
  • Assist management with budgeting and financial planning.
  • Help management understand financial performance, expenses, and trends.
  • Coordinate with company management, accountants, CPAs, payroll providers, vendors, and other financial professionals as needed.
  • Assist with gathering and organizing information required for tax filings and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure accounting records are accurate, current, and prepared for CPA/accountant review.
  • Help establish and maintain accounting procedures and internal financial controls.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all company financial information. Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong experience with QuickBooks or QuickBooks Online required.
  • Experience managing accounting or bookkeeping for multiple business locations strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, General Ledger, Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, cash-flow tracking, expense categorization, and financial reporting.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify financial discrepancies and investigate their cause.
  • Ability to manage financial activity from multiple locations simultaneously.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets skills.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and multiple financial responsibilities.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism. Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification.
  • Experience supporting companies with locations in multiple states.
  • Experience preparing location-specific financial reports.
  • Experience communicating financial results to owners or executive management.
  • Experience working directly with CPAs and tax professionals.
  • Payroll reconciliation experience.
  • Experience with budgeting and financial forecasting.
  • Experience implementing accounting procedures and financial controls.
What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who does more than simply enter transactions into QuickBooks. The right candidate should be able to understand the numbers, recognize when something doesn't look right, investigate discrepancies, and help management maintain a clear understanding of the financial health of the company. You should be comfortable taking ownership of the company's day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting records while keeping the financial activity of each location properly organized. We are looking for someone who is trustworthy, dependable, highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, good with numbers, comfortable taking responsibility, able to work independently, and able to communicate financial information clearly to management.
