Type:

full-time Well established Oil & Gas company in The Woodlands is looking to add an experience Staff Accountant to their growing team! This is an outstanding opportunity to join a company that offers growth and advancement. The responsibilities will include the following: Prepare journal entries, general ledger account reconciliations, intercompany account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations for multiple entities. Prepare entries to close accounting periods, record accruals, and reclassify account balances as required. Prepare monthly financial statement variance explanations accurately and efficiently. Prepare ad hoc reports and respond to requests. Analyze general ledger data or reports using Excel formulas and pivot tables. Maintain fixed assets for property, plant and equipment and AFE budgets for capital projects. Must have a bachelor's degree in accounting and a minimum of 2 years' experience. Oil & Gas experience is a big plus as well as oil & gas industry accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
