Full-Time Position Summary The accountant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking activities, reconciliations, and month-end closing. This position requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Process and manage vendor payments and accounts payable activities. Record and post daily bank transactions and activities. Manage accounts receivable emails, customer inquiries, and account reconciliations. Process customer credit card transactions and payments. Prepare and process customer credit memos and adjustments. Reconcile bank accounts, customer accounts, and other assigned balance sheet accounts. Monitor banking activity and review account balances regularly. Assist with month-end closing activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting documentation. Research and resolve discrepancies in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and banking transactions. Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and supporting documentation. Assist with financial reporting and other accounting analysis as needed. Work closely with internal departments, vendors, and customers to resolve accounting-related issues. Ensure accounting transactions are processed accurately and within established deadlines. Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information. Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. 2-5 years of accounting experience preferred. Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end close. Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills. Experience with accounting or ERP systems. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Key Performance Indicators Accuracy and timeliness of AP/AR transactions Timely completion of bank and account reconciliations Accuracy of customer and vendor accounts Timely completion of month-end activities Resolution time for accounting discrepancies Compliance with accounting procedures and internal controls
Pay:
$75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
