This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, comfortable with computers, and eager to learn accounting through real, hands-on experience . You don't need to know everything coming in—we're looking for someone with a good foundation, curiosity, and a willingness to learn. You'll have the chance to build practical skills in bookkeeping, sales tax, client accounts, and day-to-day business operations while learning directly from an experienced accounting professional. What You'll Do Assist with basic bookkeeping and sales tax work Enter and organize client information Maintain spreadsheets and records in Excel Prepare and update documents in Word Organize receipts, files, and financial documents Assist clients over the phone and in person Communicate with clients in English and Spanish Handle data entry and general clerical work Take on additional accounting tasks as you learn What We're Looking For Bilingual in English and Spanish (Required) At least 1 year of office, administrative, bookkeeping, or similar experience Comfortable using Excel, Word, and computers What Is the Office Like? This is a small, quiet, and structured office. Most of the day is focused on getting your work done independently, so this may be a great fit if you prefer a calm work environment over a busy or highly social office. The owner is experienced, hands-on, and direct. Expectations are clear, accuracy matters, and you'll receive feedback when something needs to be corrected. For someone who is detail-oriented, independent, coachable, and eager to learn, there is a lot of opportunity to develop practical accounting and business skills.
