Story City, IA Job Description We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Accounting Software Support Representative to support Oakland ERP clients with accounting-related workflows and questions. This role focuses specifically on accounting support within the Oakland ERP system and works closely with clients to ensure they can accurately and efficiently manage their financial operations. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting background, excellent communication skills, and enjoys helping others solve problems. You will work directly with client accounting staff who understand their business and rely on Oakland software to support day-to-day accounting operations, month-end processes, and financial reporting . Key Responsibilities Provide phone and email support to Oakland ERP clients for accounting-related questions and issues. Support clients using General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Patronage, and financial reporting modules. Assist clients with month-end and year-end accounting processes , including preparing and reviewing company financials. Troubleshoot accounting workflow issues and help clients understand best practices within the Oakland ERP system. Create and maintain clear documentation, user guides, and training materials related to accounting workflows. Collaborate with internal teams, including Development and Implementation, to identify software improvements and resolve issues. Accurately document support requests and resolutions using Oakland's ticketing system. Required Qualifications The ideal candidate will have: Strong understanding of accounting principles , including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and financial statements. Experience preparing or reviewing company financials . Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple client requests. Comfort working with accounting software and ERP systems. A client-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills . Preferred Qualifications Experience working for a private grain elevator or grain cooperative . Prior experience using the Oakland ERP software . Background supporting accounting software or ERP systems. Familiarity with patronage accounting and cooperative accounting structures.
