Cost Accounting Supervisor PACCAR paid time off, paid holidays, sick time, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) United States, Washington, Renton 750 Houser Way North (Show on map) Sep 03, 2026 Requisition Summary Responsible for performing and reviewing varied accounting activities which include review of the daily sales report, general ledger activity, forecasting, and sales/margin reporting. This position will supervise a staff of two. Additionally, this position performs and/or assists with internal control reviews and Sarbanes-Oxley documentation. This position will report to the Cost Accounting Manager. Job Functions / Responsibilities
Manage and analyze returned goods (stocking and non-stocking) accounts. This includes monthly forecasting, month-end analysis and variance reporting.
Provide support and perform analysis work on returned goods, supplier funding, inventory, and Core deposit accounting.
Prepare assigned monthly journal entries on a timely basis and in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Prepare corresponding account reconciliations on a monthly basis.
Supervise and develop two direct reports. Review reports, journals entries, reconciliations and adhoc reports prepared by direct reports.
Partner with Product Marketing, Purchasing, Sales, Customer Service, Materials, and other business stakeholders to improve financial visibility for timely and accurate reporting.
Develop and implement process improvements to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Perform and/or assist with assigned statistical inventories and Parts Distribution Center audits.
Understand the relationship of operational and financial systems and develops reports in SAP, Excel, Access and SQL.
Perform SOX testing as assigned.
Support internal control reviews and external audit requests.
Perform other duties and accounting functions as assigned.
Qualifications
BS / BA in Accounting or Finance required
Master's Degree or CPA preferred
4+ years of progressive accounting experience with increasing responsibility required
Excellent analytical capabilities and attention to detail with a "big picture" focus
Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects
Outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines and self-motivated
Understanding of US GAAP
SAP experience preferred
Experience with SQL, Power BI, Alteryx, or equivalent reporting and analytics tools preferred
Must be able to travel periodically within the US and internationally

Additional Job Board Information Salary Range:
At PACCAR, we value talent and promote growth and development. We carefully consider numerous compensation factors including your education, training, or experience. The salary range for this position is $90,400 - $128,040 annually. Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
