Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Supervisor Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable team, providing guidance, workload management, and performance support Oversee high-volume invoice processing, vendor payments, reconciliations, and payment accuracy across multiple entities Review invoice approvals, vendor maintenance, W-9 documentation, and 1099 reporting to ensure compliance Serve as the primary escalation point for vendor inquiries, payment issues, and accounts payable discrepancies Monitor aging reports, AP metrics, utilities, rent schedules, and other departmental reporting Partner with accounting leadership to strengthen internal controls and improve AP processes and efficiencies Support month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and audit requests Train, mentor, and develop Accounts Payable team members while promoting continuous improvement Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Supervisor Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 5+ years of full-cycle Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume environment 2+ years of supervisory, lead, or management experience within Accounts Payable Strong understanding of vendor management, reconciliations, W-9 administration, and 1099 processing Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, and other reporting functions Experience working in multi-entity or shared services environments preferred Strong understanding of AP controls, workflow management, and process improvement Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements Benefits & Growth Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company match Paid time off and paid holidays Career advancement opportunities Collaborative, team-oriented environment Stable organization with continued growth This Accounts Payable Supervisor opportunity is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys leading people while remaining engaged in the day-to-day operation of a high-volume AP department.
