Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM | Friday, 8:00 AM-2:00 PM About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Supervisor to join a growing manufacturing organization in Farmingdale, NJ. This is an excellent opportunity for an AR professional who enjoys being both a hands-on contributor and a team leader . You will take ownership of the day-to-day Accounts Receivable function, supervise and mentor AR staff, oversee billing and collections, monitor aging and cash flow, and help improve financial processes across the organization. The ideal candidate brings previous manufacturing industry experience , strong Accounts Receivable leadership skills, and hands-on experience working within an ERP system . What You'll Do Own the day-to-day Accounts Receivable function , ensuring accurate and timely execution of AR activities. Supervise and mentor Accounts Receivable staff, including work assignments, training, coaching, and performance management. Oversee customer billing and invoicing , collections, payment processing, reconciliations, and account maintenance. Monitor AR aging and proactively drive collection efforts to improve cash flow while maintaining positive customer relationships. Research and resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, account variances, and reconciliation items. Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and other Accounts Receivable transactions. Maintain appropriate internal controls and documentation in accordance with company and Finance policies. Partner closely with Customer Service and other departments to resolve customer and billing-related issues. Identify potential financial and collection risks and escalate concerns when appropriate. Assist with cash forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting . Support working capital improvement initiatives and help optimize cash conversion. Develop and monitor relevant AR and financial KPIs . Identify opportunities to streamline Accounts Receivable processes, strengthen controls, and improve efficiency. Provide operational support related to inventory optimization and capital expenditures. Perform ad hoc financial analysis and provide additional accounting support as needed. What We're Looking For 5+ years of Accounts Receivable or accounting experience. Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment is required . Demonstrated Accounts Receivable supervisory or leadership experience . Hands-on experience using an ERP system . Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Strong understanding of Accounts Receivable, collections, customer billing, internal controls, cash management, and receivables aging . Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments. Ability to balance hands-on transactional responsibilities with team leadership and process improvement. FP&A experience is a plus. Why This Opportunity?
