Internal Auditor/Grants Analyst Locations:
Auditor's Office time type: Full time
Summary:
The Gregg County Auditor's Office is seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Internal Auditor/Grants Analyst to join our team. This role is responsible for performing internal audits. Additionally, this person will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and documenting financial data, maintaining accurate records of grant money, and ensuring compliance with grant regulations. Grants Analysts play a vital role in the financial planning and operations of organizations that rely on funding from grants. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical skills, professionalism, and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and assess grant applications, financial feasibility, and potential impact Prepare and submit detailed grant proposals and reports Ensure compliance with grant-making organization's guidelines and policies Monitor and track the use of grant funds to ensure they are used effectively and appropriately Participate in audit processes for grant-related finances Communicate with program managers and finance personnel to gather required financial data Also, conduct internal audits of county departments, procedures, and financial records Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional auditing standards
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field highly desirable Experience in auditing, governmental accounting, or compliance preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), along with Workday and other auditing type software Knowledge of governmental auditing standards is a plus

Pay:
$43,680.00 per year
