Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Branch Operations professional for a direct hire opportunity in Santa Monica, CA within the banking and consumer lending industry. This role is ideal for a banking operations leader who enjoys supporting branch teams, improving daily workflow, maintaining compliance standards, and delivering a strong client experience. The Branch Operations role offers the opportunity to be a key resource for staff, clients, and leadership. The ideal candidate will bring a hands-on leadership style, strong operational judgment, and the ability to coach team members in a fast-paced branch environment.   • Provide leadership, training, coaching, and day-to-day support to branch staff.
  • Manage staff scheduling to support branch coverage, service quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee branch operations functions, including file maintenance, overdraft reporting, account dispute resolution, and operational follow-up.
  • Maintain compliance with banking policies, procedures, regulatory standards, and internal controls.
  • Handle escalated client concerns professionally while supporting positive client relationships.
  • Partner with team members and leadership to improve processes, reinforce standards, and support branch performance. Compensation and Benefits
  • Compensation:
    $24 to $38 per hour.

  • Location:
    Santa Monica, CA. Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Lead daily branch operations and support operational accuracy across key banking functions.
  • Manage staff scheduling, coaching, training, and team support.
  • Oversee account dispute resolution, file maintenance, overdraft reporting, and escalated client concerns.
  • Maintain compliance with current banking policies, procedures, and operating standards.
  • 6 to 10 years of experience in banking operations, branch operations, or a related financial services environment.
  • Strong understanding of branch procedures, account maintenance, compliance requirements, and client service standards.
  • Experience supporting, coaching, or leading branch staff in a banking or consumer lending setting.
  • Ability to resolve operational issues, account disputes, and escalated client concerns with professionalism and sound judgment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules, priorities, deadlines, and daily branch workflow.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and customer service skills. Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in store or branch management within banking, credit union, consumer lending, or financial services.
  • Familiarity with overdraft reporting, file maintenance procedures, and operational risk controls.
  • Experience training team members on banking policies, compliance standards, and client service best practices.
